Senior Contract
2025-2026 SENIOR CONTRACT
Each year, a great deal of effort goes into planning and orchestrating the end of the year events for seniors, including the Senior Send Off Rally, the Senior BBQ/Pool Party, Senior Ball, and the Graduation Ceremony. Participating in these events is not a right, but a privilege that is contingent upon your successful completion of the district graduation requirements as well as adherence to Cordova High’s campus policies and regulations for behavior and attendance. Below is a list of expectations and requirements that you MUST adhere to in order to be permitted to participate in end of the year senior events. Any student that loses access to senior year events due to attendance or behavior issues will not receive a refund. Please review this contract carefully with your family and understand the consequences of not meeting all requirements stated below.
ACADEMIC:
-
Complete all academic requirements by May 2, 2026.
-
Complete and verify through the Counseling Department, any additional credits needed from online courses and/or college classes by May 14, 2026.
ATTENDANCE:
-
Maintain satisfactory attendance in all classes.
BEHAVIOR:
-
Be responsible for all school rules and district policies as stated in FCUSD’s Student Code of Conduct. Any violation of rules or policies resulting in an off-campus suspension during the last semester of senior year will prevent the student from participation in senior activities—including the graduation ceremony; no refunds will be given.
-
Participation in any activity which results in vandalism, or any similar action that disrupts the normal operations of campus will result in the loss of participation in senior year activities (including graduation). Law enforcement will be notified in the event of any such action taking place and restitution for damages will be applied.
FINES/OVERDUE BOOKS:
-
Pay all outstanding fines to STUDENT ACCOUNTS by May 22, 2026. Return any overdue books to the CHS Library by May 26, 2026.
GRADUATION CEREMONY:
-
Attend graduation practice. Those with an unavoidable conflict should meet with an administrator the week prior for approval. Seniors who fail to attend practice without prior approval may not participate in the graduation ceremony.
-
Behave appropriately during the graduation ceremony. Be courteous and behave responsibly during the entire ceremony and refrain from any activity that is disrupting, distracting or dangerous. Students who fail to do so will be removed from the ceremony.
Our goal is prevention rather than punishment.

Students who do not meet Graduation Requirements
Students who do not meet the graduation requirements will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Final notification of non-completion will be made to parents by Thursday, May 29th (the date of the last final exam). If we are unable to contact you, please call your student’s counselor for this information. Students who do not meet requirements are encouraged to discuss available options with their assigned counselor.
Fines
Fine lists are posted by student ID number outside of the administration and counseling offices. If you have questions about a fine please contact Mrs. Lawrence at 294-2450, ext. 810430. Seniors with fines will not receive their diploma until all fees are paid in full at the Student Store or online with a credit card. This includes books that were not turned in, so please make sure all school books are returned before school is out.
Senior pranks, fights and other violations before Graduation
Although rare, serious violations of Education Code 48900, do occur prior to graduation. Students in need of administrative services for these violations will be suspended offsite and removed from any and all end of the year activities, including graduation ceremonies. Please refer to the Student Conduct Code located on our website for the various levels of infractions warranted by administrative services.
