Career Programme

The International Baccalaureate Career Program (IBCP) offers a health care industry pathway that allows students, beginning in their junior year, to gain patient care skills and explore careers in the healthcare field. The two-year program includes:

  • CPR training: Students receive cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
  • Certification: Students will receive HIPAA and Blood Bourne Pathogen certifications.
  • Academic courses: Students must take at least two IB Diploma courses.
  • Other program requirements: The IBCP also includes a career-related study course, a reflective project, a language development extension, and a service learning component.
  • HOSA Membership

Starting in the 2026-27 school year, students in our Engineering Academy pathway will also have the option of joining the IB CP to earn their IB Career-related Programme certificate. For more details about our Engineering Pathway, please visit the CHS Career-Related Programs page.
